Owner - Yoga & Mat Pilates Instructor - Personal trainer
Hey, I’m Lyndsey 👋
Originally from Houston, Texas, I relocated to Costa Rica in 2019 and quickly fell in love with the lifestyle, the ocean, and the community. That same year, I felt a strong need for accessible, supportive movement in the area—so Costa Rica Yoga Center (CRYC) was born.
Movement has been a lifelong passion of mine. My background includes 12 years of ballet, 13 years of competitive swimming, 6 years of softball, over 20 years of skiing and snowboarding, and 10 years of coaching CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting—alongside many years of yoga practice. Since moving to Costa Rica, surfing has become my newest full-time love, deeply influencing how I approach training, strength, and mobility.
I’m certified in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Vin-Yin Yoga, and Meditation, and I bring a well-rounded, real-world understanding of movement to every session. My path hasn’t been linear—I’ve also spent 6 years in real estate in Breckenridge and Vail, and over 16 years as a hairstylist in New York and Houston. Those experiences taught me how to truly listen, connect, and meet people exactly where they are.
Today, my greatest passions are surfing and personal training. My goal is to help you feel strong, capable, and confident in your body—without intimidation or pressure. You don’t need to be “in shape” to start. You just need to start.
If you’ve ever struggled with motivation, consistency, or knowing what to do next, I’d love to support you. Feeling good in your body is closer than you think—and I’m here to help you get there.
Yoga Instructor - Power Yoga Enthusiast
I'm Stephanie and Costa Rica has been my home since 2016, along with my husband, and incredible 3 kids.
Yoga has been in my life for over 10 years and I specialize in leading Power Yoga classes. I love showing people how to free themselves and teaching people how to move their bodies with their breath. The satisfaction of how a delicious Power Vinyasa can make you feel is something almost indescribable that you will have to see for yourself.

In my classes, we I will show you how to focus on matching every move with the breath in order to create heat. Join me for my next class and you'll experience great music, positive encouragement to never stop moving (unless you really need to)...

Something else about me is me and my husband own Gracia located at the top of the hill in Marvista. We now have 3 local-successful restaurants, my whole family loves to do dance parties and tiktoks, and are full of life and positive vibes. I can't wait to meet you!
Yoga Instructor - Master Certified Palates Instructor
Hi, I'm Shelly! I moved to Costa Rica late 2021 from Chareslton SC, with my husband and 2 dogs. Back home I taught and ran my own yoga and pilates studio for nearly 10 years.
After a high demanding career in medical device sales, working with ortho and neuron surgeons, I took a different path to study and explore the body’s ability to heal in a different way. Practicing mindful movement through yoga and meditation, earning my 300 hour YTT certification and opened/co-owned a beautiful yoga studio in downtown Charleston.
The best part of my week is to be in the front of a class room leading yoga. I am eager to share everything I know about yoga and pilates. I am a curios seeker of ways to deepen my practice and teachings, so I became Master Certified in Pilates through Balanced Body.
My classes strike a balance between growth and acceptance through breath, movement, alignment and flow. I hope you feel strong and balanced, flexible and free in both mind and body from your time on the mat.

My most recent passion is surfing and I dedicate all the free time I have to taking lessons and spending as much time in the water as I can. I also have the most adorable new scruffy-little puppy Sophie and can't get enough of her, just ask.
